The GOD of all Flesh

Wow! It’s November already. Welcome to the eleventh month of the year. We are gradually moving towards the end of 2021. Our November theme is “The God of all flesh.”

Jeremiah 32:26-27 says “Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying; behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” May the Word of the LORD come to you this season of your life. And may you understand and also be sensitive to do exactly what the Lord says.

The Word of the Lord came to many people in the Bible to show men that as the owner or creator of all flesh, He has all situations under control. Unfortunately, all flesh (except human beings) obey God without questioning. Land animals, sea animals, they all do His biddings. When Noah built the ark, even a goat that is known to be stubborn, entered the boat without questioning.  But man questioned the message of Noah that rain and flood were coming. Also, Jonah was swallowed by fish and vomited at the command of God - no questions asked.

Some characters in the Bible were sensitive enough to know God as the owner of all flesh that has unlimited capability. Others doubted His ability. In Numbers chapters 13 & 14, God instructed Moses to send twelve men to explore Canaan - a land He had already given to them as an inheritance. But, the majority of the men doubted the ability of God, and He was displeased with that generation. May you not lose favour with God. In 1 Kings 17:7-16, the Word of the Lord came to Elijah to go to the widow of Zarephath to be fed. God knew exactly what He would do, He only needed Elijah to trust in His ability and obey His instructions. Thank God Elijah passed the test! And miracles followed.

What is that problem that has made you doubt the ability of God? What is your impossible situation? What is the most difficult thing in life you need God to accomplish for you? "Is it too difficult for you to trust in The Almighty God?" God wants you to know that He is able if only you let Him into your life, into your affairs. He will change your life, He will answer you when we call, because He is God over all situations. The real weakness lies not in our Father but in your faith - for He is the God of all flesh, and within Him is no impossibility - He will show up for you! Amen.

In the series, we shall explore Numbers chapters 13 & 14 - what I termed ‘the 5 Gs’ - the Grapes, the Grasshoppers, the Giants and the Great God.
