On Eagle’s wings
You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. - Exodus 19:4
Happy New Year famz! We made it!! Blessed be God!!! Our theme for the year is “On Eagle’s wings”. As the Lord bears us all on eagle’s wings, we shall soar higher this year. Oh yes! It’s your time to soar.
A very warm welcome to January – the first month of the year 2021. Proverbs 4:18 says “but the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn that shines brighter and brighter until the full day.” May your path shine brighter and brighter in 2021 (Amen).”
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. - Isaiah 40:28-31
Friends, God desires that we gather momentum early this year, take off and soar high. A lot of us have been sitting, crawling, walking or running. It’ s time to soar!
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness[a] will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Isaiah 58:8
Many of us need a new beginning. Our God is the God of new beginnings. Have you ever wished you could go back and start over? In most cases, it is impossible to go back and change what has been said or done. However, you can start all over again and take off with high momentum! Oh yes, you can have a fresh start; especially at the beginning of a new year, a new month, a new week, or even a new day!
As we begin this new year, God is more than able to transform us. He sees in us the potential to be vessels of honour, potential to be great, potential to prosper and become channels of blessings. God doesn’t need gold, silver, and a perfect person. He simply needs you and your cooperation to bring treasures out of trash, glory out of shame, riches out of debris, righteousness out of worthlessness, worship out of waste, majesty out of mess, praise out of problems, deliverance to the addicted, etc. God takes the life and will that is yielded to Him and starts all over again rebuilding life after life, time after time. God is willing to start over again shaping you into a vessel as it seems best to Him. The only prerequisite is that you give Him your life, and He will carry you on eagles’ wing to soar.
In this series, learning from the eagle, we shall explore; All Praises to God, In the beginning, A new aspiration, A new plan/budget, A set of new garments. Fasten your belt, gather momentum, the flight is about to take off!
