I am who God says I am
Welcome to the fifth month of the year - May. Number five symbolizes GRACE; our God has graciously given unto us all that pertains to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). And this has not changed, notwithstanding what is happening in our world at the moment. Our sins are forgiven, our debts are paid, and our paths are under God’s control. Therefore, we need to re-discover who we are in Christ and take our stand.
At myFather’s House, May is our month of self discovery. We will be discovering what God’s amazing grace has offered us. Knowing who you are in Christ is liberating and life-changing! But many of us do not know or easily forget who we are in Christ and outrightly believe the lies of the adversary. On one hand, God says who you are in Christ, on the other, the devil tells you, “that’s not true.” He lies and tries to steal your identity, and we therefore suffer from identity theft. Jesus told us in John 8:32 that you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
We will be faced with many situations in our walk of faith in life. The devil will put doubts in our minds and will use people to do the same. What can we do? To overcome and have victory in our Christian walk, we need to digest the Word and the promises of God. When you see someone walking by faith and walking in the spirit you can be sure they are walking in the Word. In the I am… series, we shall lay out some of the wonderful things God says we are. We shall explore I am loved, accepted & forgiven, I am who God says I am, I am more than conqueror and I am healed. Come along!
