Thy Kingdom Come
Felicitation! You made it to November. A warm welcome to myFather’s House blog. Our theme for November “Thy Kingdom come!” gives insight to the central teaching and mission of our Lord Jesus Christ – The Kingdom of God.
Though, the concept is a hard one to understand since Jesus didn’t give us a bullet point summary of the kingdom God, He likened the kingdom to many things. For instance, the story of a banquet and a great wedding feast telling us that the door (of heaven) will be closed on some people. Another example was when the kingdom of God was likened to a mustard seed – from a small beginning comes a great tree.
In this series, we shall explore the kingdom of God and its characteristics, the principles that operates in the kingdom, members of the kingdom and expectations.
As a member of the kingdom, you’re expected to deepen your friendship with Jesus, and bring others to know Jesus or know him better. You’re also expected to maintain your place in the kingdom, seeking the good & progress of the kingdom and fellow brethren. As a child of God, you should also work towards the expansion of the kingdom by contributing your own quota. Playing your part as a citizen of God’s kingdom will cause growth and have a huge impact on this generation.
It’s my prayer that you will enjoy the righteousness, peace and joy of the kingdom of God. And “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” will be your daily prayer.
Shalom
