Winds of Change
(Exodus 14:21; Numbers 11:31; Acts 2:1-4)
It’s 2022! Happy new year! You made it. A warm welcome to January – the first month of the year 2022. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says “but we all, ...are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” May He move you from one glory to another in 2022 (Amen).
Our theme for this year is ‘Winds of Change’. “And there went forth a wind from the Lord, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp...” Numbers 11:31a.
God is meticulous in His plans. He pays attention to the smallest details to see that everything happens in proper order and time. Nothing that God does is ever done by chance. His works are perfect and all His ways are just. Psalm 104:4 says “the winds are [God’s] messengers; flames of fire are [his] servants.” Anytime God causes wind to blow, change happens. The winds of change are blowing in your direction this year, expect a harvest of miracles!
When the wind of change blew in Exodus 14:21, the red sea parted. The wind of change also blew in Numbers 11:31 and there was miraculous provision. Likewise, the wind of change blew in Acts 2:1-4, and as a result, humanity received the Holy Spirit Who had a tremendous impact on the world. The Holy Spirit gives us the power of the supernatural so that we are able to break free from the supernatural chains of darkness.
When the Winds of Change blow, it also reveals things that have been hidden. Things that may have been holding you back will become much clearer. For example, a wheat seed is protected by a covering that keeps it alive during its growing phase but once the seed matures and ripens, the seed covering is no longer needed. This outer shell is blown by a wind that comes during the harvest. May God’s Winds of change reveal things that have been holding you back from achieving greatness in Jesus' name. Amen.
I’m so glad the Winds of Change are blowing in our direction this year. My prayer is that it will blast through our lives, our homes, this church and our nation. It will bring miracles, a mighty outpouring of the Holy Ghost and fire, a renewal of righteousness and faith in Almighty God. It will tear down walls of doubt and fear and break through the hard hearts of those in our lives who don’t know Jesus.
There are persistent habits we all desire to see changed in our lives, relationships we want restored, and situations we wish were different. Expect all these in 2022. Your part is to align with the Word of God, work hard, re-train if you need to, and do all you have to do. The change is inevitable, the change is imminent, the change is now! Happy new year.
