(Isa 30:21; Pro 3:5-6; Acts 8:26-40) 

Hello August! I joyfully welcome you to the eighth month of the year. Our theme for the month is “Divine Direction”. Divine direction means God is leading you in all your ways, and you act according to the directives. We need God’s direction and guidance because the journey of life is far, and as human beings, we are limited in knowledge. Deut. 29:29 states “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God…   Pro 3:5-6 says …And He will direct thy paths.

Acts 8:26-40 detailed the account of how God’s Holy Spirit worked in Philip’s life to direct him to where he needed to be, so God could use him in a mighty way. Philip heard an angel of the Lord speak, and he knew that it’s an angel of the Lord. He was able to recognize because he has the Holy Spirit indwelling Him. Also, at the prompting of the Holy Spirit, Philip moved towards where he was directed to without questioning or looking back.  Brethren, you need the Holy Spirit to understand God’s leadings. You need to be able to hear and understand the Voice of the Holy Spirit when He speaks to you, so you can follow His directions. 1 Cor 2:14

God still directs His own to where He desired them to be. And He wants you to follow His leading. You must first have The Holy Spirit as your “GPS”. You must hear and understand the voice of your “GPS”. You must Follow the Directions of your “GPS”. Do away with your distractions, and the things going on in your life that are hindering you from hearing God. The Ethiopian Eunuch was directed, and he completely obeyed. He believed, received salvation and was baptized Acts 8:37. 

In this series, we shall examine where can I go? God still directs, where is your GPS?, and only to higher ground. Be expectant!
