In Christ Alone

May the peace of God be yours now and forever. I welcome you to April - The beautiful month of Easter - the season that reminds us about the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, and His resurrection/victory over sin, sorrow and death - Amen. Our theme for April is “In Christ alone.” Acts 17:28 says, "For 'In Him we live and move and have our being.'

I am aware of the many struggles that we face, including the economic uncertainties of this challenging time, health, unrest, or loss of loved ones. There are also some who live their lives feeling guilty about almost everything! Our problems as humans is that we base our hope on circumstances, or on what people do, and when expectations are not met, disaster ensues.

‘In Christ alone my hope is found.’ The Christian hope is in God in Christ - God dwelling in the midst of His people. Rev. 21:3 says ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people….’ Therefore, in Christ we can live free from guilt, but it requires us walking in righteousness, and putting our trust in Him! Our salvation is a complete package, brought about by what Christ accomplished at the cross! Hallelujah

A song writer wrote “...And as He stands in victory, sin’s curse has lost its grip on me.  For I am His and He is mine, bought with the precious blood of Christ.” “No guilt in life, no fear in death, this is the power of Christ in me.  From life’s first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny.  No power of hell no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from His hand.  Till He returns or calls me home, here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!”

Where are you standing today? Where are you right now in relationship with Jesus Christ? Today is the day of salvation! In the series, we will explore - In Christ alone we rejoice, we have our beings, our tomorrow is secured. He is our cornerstone. It doesn’t matter how difficult life is or whatever storms beat against us, we can stand strong and firm knowing that Jesus is our cornerstone and our firm foundation. In Christ alone.
